Today I learn a new easy-to-make recipe, Spinach Dal, a classic Indian food.
Method:
Step 1: Soak frozen spinach in warm water to defrost
Step 2: Cook Toor dal, green chillies, and turmeric with three cups of water in a pressure cooker
Step 3: Mash the dal adding tamarind and salt
Step 4: Heat oil in a skillet, add mustard seeds, jeera, cumin, crushed garlic cloves, red chillies, tomatos, and stir with spinach
Step 5: Add mashed dal to the skillet and cook in low heat for five minutes
Step 6: Serve hot with steamed rice and mango pickle / a spoon of desi ghee
